Serena De Pascalis’ passion for art began at an early age when she used to draw and paint her favorite cartoon characters, and then all the things tha she liked and wanted to capture. Art has always been used as a means to escape from reality, to muffle the outside world, and to express his or her feelings. Since the 2020 quarantine, she started to draw again with constancy and to share his or her works on Instagram. For her works, she mainly uses graphite pencils on paper, but also likes to experiment with mixed techniques. She prefers to draw faces and eyes, but not in a plain way; there’s always something dark or an element of disturbance, and pencils help to bring them to life.
