Description :
One of my favorite scene of the Disney's cartoon adaptation of “Alice in Wonderland” starts when Alice is running from the Red Queen and she loses herself in the forest. She has no idea of where to go and how to return to her world, it's dark and she can see eyes appearing in the trees, and looking at her. She stops, sits to the ground, and she starts to cry. She feels tired, she is alone, lost and scared of the eyes in the trees that were closer and closer, more and more. While she was crying they come out of the trees and closer to her, revealing themselves as little and gentle creatures that comfort her and help her to leave the forest. What is different from us, what we don't know, scares us, so we refuse it and we push it away. It's only by welcoming others who are different from us that we can know them better and we can learn from them, growing together and helping each other to create a better world to live in.
