Bio
Kat M. Hamilton is a fine artist, illustrator, and owner of Harikoa Art Supply from New York, where the vibrant energy of diverse people and places shapes her creative lens. Inspired by the unpredictability of life and the wonder found in natural phenomena, her work is a playful yet profound celebration of chance, curiosity, and the inner child.
Kat’s mixed media pieces are rich with symbolism: bold colors reflect life’s joy, expressive brushstrokes echo movement, and striking contrasts remind us of the delicate dance between light and shadow. Her intuitive approach blends materials freely, mirroring how she embraces the layered, unpredictable nature of existence.
A graduate of Hunter College with a degree in Art and a minor in Classical Studies, Kat's formal training was deeply influenced by her mentor, renowned artist Joan Elizabeth Meyer. She was honored to show in a group exhibition at the National Arts Club early in her career. Kat further developed her vision through the Mastery Program at the Milan Art Institute under the guidance of Dafni Milan.
Her work has been exhibited in notable galleries including Greenpoint Gallery, the Ellarslie Museum, and M.A.D.S Art Gallery in Milan. She has also been featured in Contemporary Art Curator Magazine. Currently, her artwork is exclusively on display at Awakening NY and UpFront Exhibition Space in Port Jervis, NY. She was a member of the artist collective Art Studio No7, participating in monthly auctions that brought together emerging and established artists. Kat’s art invites viewers to loosen their grip on certainty and return to a state of joyful exploration—one brushstroke at a time.
