Bio
Christopher Rozitis was born in 1978 in Burslem. Stoke- on - Trent. Christopher attended Newcastle College of Art where he received a Degree & Masters in Art and Ceramics. He then went on to teach art at a school for 'Special Needs children. It was during this time that he realised he wanted to attain his ambition to use his 'hobby' of art to produce paintings which, not only himself, but other people could enjoy. He also decided that he would use his art experience and knowledge to achieve a Masters in Art Psychotherapy knowing how much he had used art to express his feelings and emotions. The artwork that Chris produces are defined as ' mixed media art', he enjoys using all the varieties in art construction and making methods to produce work that can be three dimension and two dimension in nature such as clay, textiles, paint and digital art. The images are often bold.
The body of work I have created explores the concepts of multi layering colours, textures, patterns and images. This I feel captures the feeling of liquidity, depth, movement, flow-ing forms and freedom of expression that the theme of liquid means to me. The word liq-uid inspires within me a feeling of ever-changing in both creation and destruction, fluidity and power. Therefore in the images I have created, I have tried to capture all of those lay-ers and feelings the word liquid provokes.
