Marcelo Soria-Rodríguez is a strategist, thinker, promoter of digital & data literacy and multidiscipli-nary artist. His career has been shaped by the will to expand the total space of possibilities of every activity where he has taken part, or what he calls the total cognitive space. From innovation depart-ments in multinational corporations, to an international data literacy movement, to research about the implications of releasing new pseudo-intelligent species in society with the advent of AI-powered products and services, he always has had an interest in the unconventional view, the what-ifs and how can we advance in the integration of society and generation of prosperity. His art explores currently the boundaries of machine emotions: if machines are to have relationships with humans, and humans are emotional beings, how can we build those relationships better? How can we have machines pro-duce pieces that generate emotions in humans? Mostly generative art pieces programmed in Pro-cessing, sometimes accompanied with music composed and recorded by the artist. Besides art, he builds companies to support art, artists and access to education to those out of the system.
