Brigitta Tenkes lives in Hungary, Budapest. She paints on stretched canvas with acrylic tech-nique.

STATEMENT:
“I have been fascinated by art and creation since I was a child. I’ve always been attracted to cre-ate something that can cause joy for someone else. I also authored a recipe book especially for little kids, inviting parents and children to multi-layered activities and useful, fun-filled time. I started painting to decorate our own house. I believe the space around us fundamentally influ-ences our mood and well-being. I feel that when we are surrounded by unique creations that are tailored to our own needs, it builds a warmer, friendlier atmosphere, both at home and at work. This is the effect I strive to achieve with my work. For me, painting is an exciting discovery in which the image is formed by itself during its creation creating a completely unexpected end result. My goal is that anyone who decorates a wall of an office or home finds joy by my work. I chose the abstract technique because in my opinion it shows everyone something completely different. In my view, the most important aspect of a painting is that it brings about a good feel-ing and a harmonious experience.”
