Haïfa Ghoul
Painter
Bio
Haïfa Ghoul was born in Beirut, Lebanon during the height of the civil war. Having immigrated to the U.S. and built a successful career in the corporate world, she realized that a dormant cre-ative energy wanted to be expressed through her. Painting chose her as much as she chose it; it became an outlet for her deepest emotions and provided a blissful inflow for tremendous joy and healing. In some ways, painting became a channel for her to experience elements of child-hood playfulness and abandon that the war she was born into had robbed her of.
Artistic statement:
Haïfa’s art is expressive of complex emotional alchemy and transcendent dreams that transpire onto the canvas. Her work is characterized by mystic themes, the use of vibrant colors, and brush strokes that convey movement through stillness. Every piece is a reflection of a flow state where the subject arises spontaneously and delicately dictates the painting process. Her goal is to convey elusive fragments of the human experience, the energy of unity consciousness, and the mystical through playful color representations.
