Gerrit Hodemacher (born in 1976 in Hanover) is a upcoming painter and textile artist living in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally since 2020 (Hamburg & Hanover) as well as in Monaco, Italy (Genoa & Milan), the USA (New York City), Switzerland (Zurich) and France (Paris). He describes each of his pieces, designs and concepts as the result of snapshots of his inner attitude, longings and interpretations of current events. With his art, Hodemacher strives to reinvent himself with every work and to set new limits. In doing so, he playfully tests the possibilities. Several German daily newspapers have already reported on this very rare and fateful art career. Gerrit Hodemacher painted his first work in November 2019, the night before his father's death - since then, he has seen his vocation as an artist as a fateful fortune. He calls his art project “Honour the sunset”. He wants to express that the beautiful, the warm, the happiness can also go and that the honour of these qualities it will soon return.”
