This artwork marks the beginning of an evolution phase in my pictorial proposal, where the foundation is to reflect an introspection process through my paintings. This process starts with a question. That is why since September 2020, my artwork seeks to share these doubts with the observer, making use of the title of each painting as a guide to formulate them. The intention of using questions as titles is to denote a search process, without limiting the interpretation of the painting to a subjective affirmation.Due to the complexity and emotional load involved in this particular painting I named it: “What if I were all this?”. This title reflects the genuine surprise I experienced when I observed my own creation and how I discovered the emotions and experiences that emerge from it and that were hidden in a subconscious plane during the creative process. To recognize ourselves as too complex to fully understand and discover, seems to me a good starting point for a journey towards a greater or even new consciousness.
