Have you ever made a vow concerning your passion, pledging to overcome a challenge? Have you ever succumbed to an impulse, allowing the old habits to swiftly overshadow the new ones? Since I committed to utilizing only (pink, ultramarine, black, and white) in my forthcoming creations, I have felt as though all the hues of the universe are attempting to seep into my palette. This endeavor is arduous and resembles a battle between myself and infinity. From a free painter to one constrained by a dare, I continually ponder why the old methods consistently resist the new ones? Is this resistance ingrained in our nature, or is it merely a common experience shared by all painters? Until colours find me again, I am determined to do whatever is necessary to produce a complete painting using solely the colours I have vowed to employ! No more leakage, no more defeats due to eagerness, I PROMISE…. The upper section comprises 50 crafted colours (circles that represents the temptation), the middle section features the unrefined linen fabric of the canvas (displayed as a barricade), and the lower section embodies the formidable promise to restrict myself from using none but the four dared pigments.
