INVISIBLE CONNECTION

"Networks of Human Relationships"

23.01.2025

An investigation into global interconnectedness and the dynamics Of communication, both visible and invisible. The exhibition invisible connections explores the complexity of thenetworks that bind us, shedding light on the layered nature ofhuman relationships in an increasingly globalized world. Thisproject seeks to examine not only the visible threads that link us—such as language, technology, and social interactions—but also thesubtle, often imperceptible ones that lie behind gestures, emotions, and shared traditions. At a time when digital connections are redefining the concept ofproximity, this exhibition invites artists to question how humanrelationships manifest and transform. Through art, the “invisiblenetworks” of cultural exchange, empathy, and interdependence cantake visible form, becoming a tool for collective reflection. The theme of networks and relationships has recurred throughoutart history, though not always explicitly. Consider the works ofpieter bruegel the elder, where human interaction is staged throughmicrocosms of daily life, suggesting how every individual actcontributes to a collective narrative. Similarly, alexander calder’smobiles represent a dynamic balance: each element depends on theothers in a harmonious interaction of movement and space.More recently, artists such as antoni muntadas and jenny holzerhave explored the themes of communication and networks, investigating how information systems and language shape ourperception of the world. Likewise, olafur eliasson’s immersiveinstallations, evoking connections between humans and nature, encourage audiences to reflect on their role within broader, interdependent systems. The exhibition invites emerging and established artists to createworks that embody the theme of networks of human relationships, fostering a dialogue between the visible and the invisible.Submissions may include interactive and multimedia installations, paintings, sculptures, photography, or performances, aiming tocapture the complexity and beauty of global connections.Bring the hidden to light and tell the story of the invisible power ofrelationships through your art. Together, we can shape a newcollective narrative.
