This artwork was created with dots and hatching using a dip pen. My grandmother's passing away was the catalyst for my creation. In the months following her death, a cold white snow fell on my heart, and I was filled with feelings that had no place to go. This mental landscape also appeared in my dreams, and the esquisse for this work was created based on the scenes in my dreams.
I confront grandmother's death, it was necessary to go through the process of putting each dot on the screen. The arch gates and doors on the screen are the last places I reach in my dream. It is the place that connects this side and that side, and Abraxas and Harpyia sit on top of the door. The cypress in the distance is the bridge of death that connects heaven and earth, suggesting the goal of the soul that we will one day reach.
