Description
The artist was inspired to create this image from the huge quantities of waste paper that are produced every day. The artist wanted to capture this eternal process of growth and decay in a symbiosis between photography and painting. Mountains of waste paper pile up behind the translucent curtain. The detail of the chosen photo and its overlap create an abstract paper landscape with a morbid aesthetic. Against this background, the fresh lines indicated by the fragmentarily painted horizontal lines now float ever closer to the ground... for a brief moment, we care but tomorrow who will be interested in yesterday's news?
