This painting is a self-portrait- one piece painted on two linen boards and sealed together. This is symbolic of the splitting away from herself that the artist experienced early in life, and then the coming back home to herself and using art to mend what was broken. Aptly titled Who Does She Think She Is- a tongue in cheek nod to the irreverence we some-times have to employ to heal ourselves. This piece is part one of a collection of women with similar experiences, photographed and painted in similar poses.
