Bio
Hi, nice to meet you. I am María Inés I was born in the city of Puerto Iguazú, close to the world-famous natural wonder Iguazú Falls in Argentina. I live and work in a place where Brazilian, Par-aguayan, and Argentinean cultures come together, as we cross the "three borders” every day. In 2004 i began to paint oiL paintings as Miram Campista's apprentice in Brazil, then in 2004 I started to teach myself how to paint with acrylic techniques. In 2007 I started to study Art School at the University of Misiones, School of Art and Design. It was there, in the city of Oberá, vibrating cultural and diverse, I took part in different art exhibits such as the Art School Students exhibition and the 7th edition of the "Miniprint de la Tierra Colorada", at Oberá art museum. In 2008 I also took part in the 1st Sculpture Student’s conference. Between 2015 and 2022 I en-tered an artistic hiatus, during which I devoted myself to better understand my personal and spiritual life. Then in 2022 I came across the watercolours technique and abstract art, that I felt instantly connected to. It had all started as merely a therapeutic practice but later evolved into a creative and artistic discipline. In it, art and spirit become one. I explored together automatism, which allowed me to express the deepest of myself and even my own unconscious world, in a pure expressive liberty, reaching a language beyond reason but intimately related to my inner voice.
