“Before I studied Visual arts at university, I studied chemical engineering a year and a half. During these studies, I was fascinated by the changes of the colors in some materials, substances, and reactions but what interested me the most was the microscopic world. From then until now a part of my creative process as an artist has been deeply related to the microscopic world.
Before my father died, he wanted to teach me three things one of them was teach me to paint unfortunately he died before he could do it. But he bought some oils and canvas for me. These microscopic paintings are made with those oils.
Making these microscopic paintings take me a long time, it could take me a lot of hours even a day, but, finally, when I got the painting it could be short lived, it could last just few seconds also because since it is microscopic, it could change due to the environment, even a small movement in the microscope could change it. For that reason, this little but great moment, this painting is captured in a photograph because this painting is not permanent. At the same time, capturing the image is complex and it requires to be very careful.”
