Bio

My name is Sarah Kraning, and I have auditory-visual synesthesia. Synesthesia is a rare neural cross-wiring of the senses, and in my case this means that I see colors and patterns when I hear sounds. I have been painting since I was a little girl, and I channel my synesthesia visuals into my paintings. With my work, I try to capture the movement and colorful array of images that I see when I listen to music
