Concept: I have auditory-visual synesthesia, which is a rare neural cross-wiring of the senses. I channel the imagery that I see when I hear sound into my paintings. For this exhibition, I have selected my piece, “Spine,” which is based on synesthesia visuals for the song, “Oh Sherrie” by Foreigner. This piece fits nicely into the Paradiso theme, due to the freedom that I feel when painting and sharing my synesthesia with the world.
