People today share uninterruptedly pieces of information, undergoing a sort of “info-bombing”.
The subject represented in this painting is “made-up” of data. Lost her natural features, her skin, even her eyes are distorted by the huge amount of information, sometimes twisted, manipulated, exaggerated or simply invented. The asymmetry of the eyes is the outstanding feature, physically expressing the risk we all run of looking at reality without balance, with unconscious prejudices or shortsightedness. One eye even seems to detach from her face symbolizing how we can lose our sense of personal criticism in a sort of global hysteria.
