Bio

I am a Canadian landscape painter who enjoys experimenting with colour. My inspiration comes from the Canadian landscape experienced during kayaking trips to Northern Ontario, as well as hiking to beautiful scenic lookouts. Georgian Bay, Killarney, French River, Algonquin Park, and the Laurentians of Quebec are favourite destinations.
After studying Art at Ontario College of Art, for most of my career I have worked as a high school teacher teaching Art to students with Developmental Disabilities.
In the last decade, I felt a strong desire to paint to express the joys I feel in nature. As I paint, I try to capture the spirit of the place I am visiting, using expressive brush strokes.
My work has been collected internationally and is available at: The Red Canoe Gallery in Muskoka, Cloud Gallery in Orillia, Kingston Glass Studio Gallery, Petroff Gallery in Toronto.
