Terry Hulsing Born: January 5, 1956 I’m a self taught artist so no formal training or schooling, but that did not stop me from expressing myself through art. Art was a coping mechanism from a very young age due to trauma. My twin sister and I were given up for adoption at the tender age of 4 years of age. We spent time in foster care but we were blessed,because we managed to stay together,but sadly we did experience loss of three other siblings that we were separated from thru this ordeal. Life was difficult but we had each other and Art. I am now a mom of four grown children and grandmother to 8. I am recently retired from a successful business in Dog breeding and some limited Showing, was awarded The Who,s Who award twice for leadership in my field. I have a lot more time now to explore my artistic whims. I have tried different mediums like Acrylics and Oil,,but recently discovered Fluid Art, have to say it is my new love. There are so many techniques to explore, but what I love most about this form of art is that you have no real control over the end result and there is always a surprise at the end, and who doesn’t like surprises. There are skills involved from selection of paint colors to application and flow of the paint and most importantly consistency of paint mixtures, because each technique requires a different consistency in the recipe,,it is an art to make beauty.
