Hi! My name is Oda Louise Østbakk. As long as I can remember, doing art has been a big part of my personality, and I see it as a necessity to my life. I get inspired by people the interaction between us, society, the culture we live in, experiences, sexuality, the human body, thoughts, and emotions. I like to paint my picture the same way I experiences life. Both abstract and con-crete.

Art itself is also inspiring to me. The meaning of a work of art can be expanded and changed over time. How a work of art is experienced and what it means for the individual will be able to change over time. Art is not static, but always in motion. I find that fascinating!

I have been selling my art and taking orders from both individual costumers and companies since the age of 18, and the summer of 2020 I created my own company “Oda Loui”. For now, I am self-taught. It is important to me not being dependent on producing art to survive. I want my creativity to live freely, rather than being forced out because of need for money. Therefore, in the recent years, I have focused on forming a financially secure base, and I am soon ready to bring my art and creativity one step further. I´m excited for the journey to continue!
