Technical: Painted in a wooden frame crate that was stained using oils mixed with mineral pigments. This 3-D Contemporary Abstract Painting was created with 4 different mediums. Acrylic’s mixed with pigment minerals and oils, the octopus was created with Resin as well as Alcohol inks and mineral pigments.

The inspiration behind the piece is the fascination of how Octopodes live such short lives and have nine brains and three hearts, though they live such short lives they are beautiful mysterious forms of life. They are extremely dangerous, yet ironically easy going. They are considered one of the most intelligent creatures in the world, due to their vision and the way they can skillfully camouflage themselves. They are one of the oldest sea creatures and are brilliant!
