Using various data-corruption techniques, the artist exposed the hidden textures in the data of various everyday photographs, and then accentuated those textures in order to draw out the patterns that would otherwise normally have remained hidden. The patterns, although abstract, were found to resemble patterns found in natural and manmade objects alike – fingerprints, circuitry, and roadways, to name a few. This discovery offers a question: what other exciting sights have gone undiscovered, hidden somewhere within data on our hard-drives?
