This scene from the movie Edward Scissorhands shows us a magical moment in which the protagonist creates an ice sculpture while his friend Kim experiences a unique kind of enchantment, dancing beneath a snowfall that forms as Edward sculpts.

In that instant, time seems to pause for a moment of pure wonder: the girl dances, laughs, and allows herself to be enveloped by the magic of a talent that transforms the ordinary into poetry. It is a silent yet powerful gesture that speaks of how creativity can become a gift, both for the artist who produces it and even more so for those who experience it.

Tim Burton, the director of this beautiful story, has shared that he felt like Edward: different, unable to speak as others do, yet possessing a unique, unmistakable talent capable of shaping worlds that no one else could imagine. Today, Burton is a recognizable director, an artist who has transformed his own otherness into a universal voice.

The art exhibition Scissorhand celebrates creatives, often different, outside conventional norms, and therefore capable of offering the world something truly unique. It is also about the magic of art, which springs from the creative instinct and becomes a gift for the world that experiences it, teaching something new. Art is at once personal and universal.

We are seeking works that convey the magic of the creative gesture, the power of diversity, and the fragile yet astonishing beauty of talent that becomes a gift. Here, being different is not a label but a possibility.
