These two paintings belong together as a diptych with some space in between. The first one is the result of a long search for integration of the initial color violet. It consists of many overpaintings and layers with different materials. So it has become a painting with depths and strong structures. A second canvas was added and a few charcoal lines were drawn across both images. The 2nd image was created then very easily with the charcoal lines as base, some white, and the yellow as perfect response to the violet in the first painting. The two works reinforce each other; depth, structure and lightness are coming together. As a diptych they form a playful, spacious scenery that invites you to let your imagination run free.
