Pablo Cousteau is involved in the “abstract photo painting” procedure. He took part in solo exhibitions, especially in Spain, collective exhibitions and contemporary art fairs, presenting his work through several art galleries in Paris, Luxembourg, Frankfurt and Marbella.

STATEMENT
My work is a hybrid between photography and painting. I think that in some sense, my work departs from a frustration: I try to reach through a photography what I would like to have been able to paint. I am not focused on nice landscapes or sunsets. I like versatility and the freedom to find inspiration wherever and whatever it is. I try to extract a different (abstract or conceptual) kind of beauty in a set of flowers, in a plant, but the inspiration can also come from a necklace, a nice bottle, a colored straw, a Christmas light, a reflection in the glass, or a smart storefront. At the end, I try to be creative and express myself through colors and forms. The result is many times a little bit “kitsch” but I think that life is color, happiness and beauty. This aim guides my aesthetic approach.
