Art is not only a vehicle for beauty, but since the dawn of time was used as a mean to raise awareness on the events that overturn and mould our world, our society, and our thinking. In this artwork I choose to represent one issue that touches me deeply as a female artist: women's freedom of expression, freedom of speech and live as they like, freedom still denied and limited in our society. A movement is revolting against oppression and limitation, and its values are embraced by women all over the world. They are dancing bare headed and with their hair in the wind.
