Love can strike like lightning, and being a lover of lightning itself, Lightning Love was inspired by the two happening at the same time, abstractly expressed, with the frequency and psychedelic vibrancy of the colors with which they were felt. The brushed areas of polymer sealant have created a semi-cratered texture, smooth in contrast to the rougher stretches of acrylic painted birch wood. A stained sealed frame in an intense claret compliments the same color used in sections of the painting.
