Description
A medley painted in a very effective manner revealing faces with mixed emotions on the outset coupled with the desire to create something that hits hard on my current stark vision of society. My work here incorporates some of the witty, but socially charged views used for the audience to discover for themselves. Much of “Bouquet’s” distorted faces were taken from my drawings which I had stored away for a long time, some painted over, reshaped, suggesting something that has gone wrong, something that is beyond repair. I see it also as a blend of the respective styles of abstract expressionism and geometric shapes with a cartoon world lifting up through and blossoming.
