The title alludes to a love triangle in classical culture (Encolpius, Ascyltus, and Giton in Petronius' Satyricon), even though that one was between three men and this one between one man and two women (though the left face could be fluid). The fusion of the faces represents how the triangle is a common fantasy to many, if not all. Even though many seem to lack the courage to admit it. The artwork, therefore, lifts the veil on a hidden desire of both women and men.
