Description: “This painting was inspired by an image I found, which turned out to be an AI image. I studied computer image processing when I was younger and I wonder if the artificial image somehow resonated with me. The AI image is magical and the painting more so. Someone commented that it was similar to how they see the world without their glasses. I have enjoyed playing with the colours and I love cars and driving, so cars seem to be in my work. I also like the idea of imagining myself in the painting, as if the viewer may step into the image, a bit like Mary Poppins. I work in an alla prima, painterly fashion, building up layers of colour, until I am satisfied with the capturing of the scene.”
