Description
Fate always has cruel plans for us. Many people had their lives cut short far too soon. This piece was inspired by Hugo Lederer’s statue, Das Schicksal, and shows fate as a ruthless woman, dragging two innocent victims by their hair. A young woman and a young man in the early prime of their lives were clearly overtaken by death, while the male still seems to be clinging to life. This harsh and disturbing composition makes the viewer to argue with fate about her choice, but sim-ultaneously guides him to appreciate life and be humble.
