Thanos Tziourmakliotis is a self-taught digital artist from Larisa, Greece. He was born in 2000 and he is currently studying at the University of Thessaly in the Department of Culture, Creative Media and Industries. Digital art became his passion in 2021. He started doing this as hobby, when he was bored at work and in his spare time, but now he’s trying to pursue his dream and become a full-time artist.
“I’m drawn to dark art. When I create, my emotions are playing a big part to the final result. If I’m very happy, I might create something brighter. I enjoy ‘giving life’ to European statues, mostly of the 20th century. In my creations, I pair surrealism with realism. I try to fit something imaginary into a realistic background. I love attaching a foggy and mysterious atmosphere in my creations. I am constantly learning as I create and I can already see the finished artwork in a blank canvas.”
