Description

As an artist I have often been drawn to visualising my deep fear of the sea. An overwhelming world of beauty and uncertainty that does not forgive if you happen overboard. In my 20’s I experimented with psychedelics which brought on a series of invasive and irrational thoughts and dreams. Bath time in hot cloudy water after smoking a joint almost had me believing that at any moment reality might tear and have me projecting to the ceiling in the mouth of a Great White Shark. The jack-in-a-box propulsion, a mockery to the delusional mind of a fully grown man simply trying to take a bath. This image is part of a series called ‘The Quiver’s Motel’, an other worldly multidimensional motel owned by the mysterious and yet to be seen landlord, Mr Motel Quivers.
