Bio

Roberta Gomes Miranda is a Brazilian Contemporary Painter. She was born in the city of Nova Iguaçu, Rio de Janeiro. She received her Degree in History at Universidades ABEU – UNIABEU, one of the main Universities in Grande Rio Area. Roberta Gomes Miranda works as a Cultural Producer at the Nova Iguaçu Culture Department. In addition to devoting himself to Literature among poems, she launched a book called “CAROLINAS DA BAIXADA (A Tribute to Carolina Maria De Jesus, writer) on the 20th March 2021. As a poet, Roberta is very active in the literary scene of the City of Nova Iguaçu, being a member of three Literature Collectives: “Fulanas De Tal” (genre), “Sarau Prata! (Prose and Poetry) and is also the godmother of the collective “Madalenas De Baixada”. As a visual artist, she has participated in two main projects between in the year 2020: as illustrator for two texts in the book “Random”, a monthly project by the storytellers of the city and for the project “Pipa Que Jura”. Furthermore, she participated in the Virtual Exhibition Manhãs De Autono – Confinamento, on Facebook, Curated by Cezar Ray in January 2021.
