This painting is the main statement of the artist: The eye in a mouth normally is a symbol of fear which occurs in Halloween. The eye is the symbol of consciousness which breaks through the body (mouth) undestroyable is breaking the golden chains (metal). Shining through a chaos of ghosts and (symbolic) “dogs”. The artist chooses the Koons dog to symbolize humanity (the huma breath withing) and to show the power of consciousness over others. To be more in a manner saying: HERE I AM.
