Title: Azov Sea
Size: 60x40x1,8 cm
"Azov Sea" is to be seen as a tribute to my hometown Mariupol. I am also thinking of my friends and family who still lived there and who suffered from the blockade and lost everything. But not only things, but also relationships are broken. While the ship on the left moves towards the storm and becomes smaller and smaller, the larger ship, which looks almost identical, moves to the right towards the sun. It's the same with families that have been torn apart and are now moving in different directions spiritually. Many families are Ukrainian and Russian and intertwined. The war tears them apart.
