Description
The submitted work for the DEMO exhibition is called Festival IV (which is part of a collection of works titled Festival). This series of works is generally about the celebration of shapes, pattern and colour. It is about the infinite possibility and range of expressing line, form, and composition. It is also about the opportunity to paint spontaneously, naturally and instinctively, wherever mood and emotion takes the artist. It is about exploring various movement of line, creating rhythm, pattern and harmony. Allowing the artist’s brush to dictate the direction, the movement, the flow of line, shapes, pattern and colours emerge in various forms, strengths and intensities allowing the overall painting to acquire its own individuality, its own spirit and its own identity.
