Description
This is a strong portrait of a delicate boy. It resiliently stakes a claim to representation within a complex mesh of interference. It came from a chance moment seeing a peeling billboard advert featuring a youthful face and has built up to a reflection on the ways in which we experience and overcome boundaries in our lives. The brows and forehead are the parts that really identify the face in this photograph and the focus on cerebral pro-cesses seem important as an indicator that presence of mind is needed to negotiate our personal and societal dynamics in a healthy way.
