Bio

Nicola Morea professional painter and engraver, born in Bari on 16 August 1943, lives and has his studio in Mola di Bari – Via E. Toti,36/A.
Inheriting the artistic vein from her mother, a creator of fashion, she trained in painting at the school of the Italian-Venezuelan painter 'Don Pedro'. He began his exhibition activity with a one-man exhibition in Gioia del Colle in 1976. For graphics, he availed himself of the teachings of Maria Bellomo, professor of engraving at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bari, and Marisa Salomone, at whose printing works from 1980 to today he has performed over forty titles including etchings, aquatints, serigraphs and linocuts.
To his credit he has over 50 personal exhibitions in Italy and abroad and participations in national and international competitions with significant awards.
Works by him appear in public and private collections.

In 1996 with other artists he founded the movement "Third Millennium" aspects of contemporary art.
In 2011 he was invited to the 54th Venice Biennale.
In 2013 – VENICE – VENEZIA – MOSTRA COLLATERALE ALLA BIENNALE DI VENEZIA FONDAZIONE XANTE BATTAGLIA FROM 14 TO 30 JULY.
