I heard hip hop music for the first time when I was in high school and it opened me up to a whole new world of music, and culture. The more I learned about it the more that I became interested and the more my desire grew to be a part of it. Years later after moving to Los Angeles I was having a hard time but realized that drawing was like therapy to me. I then began to draw everyday which helped me out of that difficult time. My inspiration came from music and the things I saw around me and I began drawing portraits, shoes, and anything that inspired me. I posted one of my pieces online and received very good feedback. This gave me the feeling that maybe my art was something that can inspire other people. Since I was a little girl, I was told stories of the zodiac which led to an interest in constellations and Greek mythology. I was drawn to the beauty of these statues as well as the feeling that I get from looking at them. I depict an aura emitting from around the statue that tells a story that anyone can understand when they see it.
