Why the british say
“It’s raining cats and dogs”
It is said that the first similar statement appeared in 1651. A writer described a roof to be very strong. Even when it rains, there are kittens and puppies in the rain, and the roof can withstand it.
Later, satirical novelist Jonathan Swift used the term rain cats and dogs in his novels and made it widely known.
When it rains, if there are really a lot of kittens and puppies in the rain, what interesting picture will it be?
In this extreme climate, there is either a drought without a drop of water, or it rains and floods.
Life is so small that it cannot change the forces of nature, but can only make fun of suffer-ing.
