Description:
“Ambient Blues & Fluid Hues” was created in absolute chaos on a loose canvas twice my size. The base patterns and textures were unplanned, experimental, and messy. Unknowingly at the time, this physical process was mimicking the mental turmoil of understanding my own sexuality. Up until the age of 22, I assumed I was one way – but then my sky cracked and the light bled through, telling me I was wrong. So I let this piece paint itself. It was trying to teach me about exploration and fluidity, and I was finally ready to listen.
