Bio

Naomi Scala aka eN.aart Why doesn't she use her real name? In a society where one of the most important things is to appear and be visible in the spotlight, she decides, like any photographer during a shot, to become invisible... eN, was born as Naomi Scala, and is a photographer of Italo-American origins, although she calls herself a gipsy for her DNA composed of migrants, travelers and artists, whose footsteps will follow soon. After her first formal education in an Art Institute, which enables her to conceptualize modelling, sculpture, graphical and technical drawing, experimenting with different materials and pigments, being awarded a qualification in artistic lacquering and gilding, and Flower Arranger Teacher, Master in painting-like images made with flower petals. She then continues her education at the Polytechnic University of Milan, improving her digital knowledge, her designing skills and especially learning rendering and 3D modelling software. She achieves a Degree in Environmental Architecture, with a thesis on an experimental anti-seismic design inspired by ancient Japanese buildings and temples, and begins a collaboration of a few months with DBMLab, realizing projects and renders for European tenders, but eventually dedicating her life to her passion: photography. After a long photographic training with National Geographic, she keeps perfecting her snapshots, presenting her portfolio until, one amazing day at a conference, a great man, photographer and architect named Salvatore Basilico, tells her: \"You already know your way.\" observing one of her portfolio. From that day onward, she goes back to black and white. Every line is architecturally and perspectively studied and soon, in loving memory of the cinema where she grew up with her grandfather, she turns to 6x6 analog film. In 2018, although she loves the photographic style acquired over the years, she's trying not to be always faithful to it, but to reinvent herself, day by day. Has moved in another country again, to fully understand the monarch lifestyle. This shift caused a change also in her photographic style... There is less lightness, many albums are, while others hide, social complaints of various kinds, from the smallest and imaginable, to those that are on the World's agenda as racism and immigration. In 2020, finding a series of retro movie posters belonging to her maternal grandparents, and a mix of letters, photos, wallpapers and vintage newspapers; decides to take advantage of her studies to create a series of interior design graphics, in a Minimalist POP Contemporary style, which will be shown, after a few months, on Instagram with the name of ‘eN.aart’! In a few months, the graphics are noticed, receiving buyers from all over the world, and in a few months becoming a source of inspiration for many emerging artists... Even with these she tries to convey a series of messages, from the sweetest to those of criticism political and social (Make Love Your Goal / Hysteria), as well as a constant feminist struggle, which will never end, visible in a series of graphics representing iconic women accompanied by equally strong messages! Nowadays, Naomi, aka eN, considers herself fully satisfied with her evolutionary path, even if she thinks it is still evolving, as always!
