Bio

Stefano Porrelli, aka Diego Knowledge Becurious, was born in 1990 in Bari; after graduation he moved to Australia where, confronting the small tribes of aborigines, he had the intuition to start painting. Inspired by any form of art, from literature to music, he attributes meanings (meanings) to: resins, colors, stuccos, lime never being banal in research and color combinations. Among his mentors we find: the Russian master Kandinsky, the talented Pollock, the immense Bacon, the genius Burri. Driven by curiosity and the need to create different shapes and worlds, he applies himself having fun with the wish to improve himself ... his is a way to escape from the daily routine."My works are not disarming works or paintings ... but they are simply material''. Painting for me must be three-dimensional, with the sweet intention of being able to excite the viewer. People find inspiration in "good" nights. I with deep humility do not believe in creativity or artistic imagination. I firmly believe in pain and the desire to redeem oneself from it. Being creative means giving perspective and truthfulness to one's Inner Worlds, to manifest the undecipherable, redefine the forms, the limits. I transmit my most intimate frailties, in front of a body: inert and white, candid and defenseless but despite everything my friend. It is the canvas, that supports my melancholy which manifests itself through aggressive but at the same time sinuous and overwhelming brushstrokes. To paint as an agnostic, and to feel close to God. That's why I persevere and I'm so curious that I want to improve .
