Artist Statement:
I am inspired by various women from all over the world. And in spite of our differences, we all share the same human concerns about family, future, and femininity. Such experiences led me to focus on the theme of liberation and flourishing of women’s mind.
My current artwork focusses on various portraits of female figures, goddesses, and Mother Nature. These rich motifs are layered upon a vibrant abstract background. It is a synthesis of the dual aspects of my life: moving from hand painting to digital & mixed media, experiencing both the East and the West, and exploring the historical and the symbolical.
They evoke those universal, unconscious emotions we all share - of love, adversity, and hope. You and I are mirrors to each other.
