Antonio (Tony) Garcia was born in 1973 in Brownsville, Texas. After graduating high school, he attended Texas A&M University Kingsville. In 1996 he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and began teaching in the public-school system. During that time, he began a deep love of painting and started developing his own style. In 2001, he graduated again with a Masters in Educational Administration. His passion however, was still in the arts. He discovered that his true interests were in realism and surrealism. Through his practice and dedication, Antonio has developed his skills but always strives to keep learning. He has been fortunate to exhibit in Rochester, Hudson, New York, Cincinnati, Boston, San Marcos, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio. In addition, he has been published in Art Quench Magazine "First Masters Edition 2017", based out of Los Angeles and has curated an art exhibit. With over 20 years of teaching and art experience, he still tries to improve his technique and enhance his style and perspective on subjects.
