Marie Michaud is a Canadian artist. As a child, she took her first painting lessons and spent most of her time drawing or crafting. As an adult, after university studies in Communication and Graphic design, she had the privilege of creating a series of posters for a well known Canadian theater.
Later on, during a twenty five year expatriation in the south of France, Marie developed a true passion for photography and set up a small jewelry design business while raising her two daugh-ters.
Her definitive return to Canada in 2016 was the perfect occasion to finally jump into her life mission: painting! From all these years spent in Gard, a department in the south of France, Marie retains a strong taste for the art of living and the memory of incredible landscapes, rich colors and unique luminosity which now inspire her creativity. Marie’s background in graphic design encourages her to create colorful paintings in a modern, simple and graphic style, which visually resembles stained glass.
