In the work "Realization of Diversity", Gianfilippo Fancello portrays another form of depression and social obsession: Beauty, the end of a violent attempt to dominate the body in an imposed and exhausting ideal. The male central figure is repressed for not having a "successful" physique, a "flawless" figure, consequently entering into total despair and paranoia of seeing and feeling differently. The overflow of overlapping words and letters becomes part of the artist's visual and meaningful identity. A kind of primitivism, expressionism, contrasting colors and extremely defined contours, polarisation of black and white and their intermediary shades, subliminal symbols and complex words to read, collages, crucified figures, animals and surprising gestures are some of the concepts presented in his works.
